Turntablist Michael Schwartz, better known to his fans as Mix Master Mike was born in San Francisco, California. From 1992 to 1994 he won three consecutive world titles at the International DMC turntablism awards, and went on to gain notoriety after performing at several live DJ competitions and joining the Invisibl Skratch Piklz. Known throughout the music industry for his heavy hitting bass and intricate scratch routines, Mix Master Mike has become a household name as resident DJ for the Beastie Boys.
