Young Jeezy
The rapper Young Jeezy, formerly known as Lil J, was born Jay Jenkins in South Carolina. His first album, released as Lil J, hit the music scene in 2001 and by 2004 he became a member of the group Boyz N Da Hood which released its self-titled debut album in 2005. Also in 2005, Young Jeezy released his first solo album under his current moniker. Since then he’s had countless hits and his star continues to rise. In 2007 StudentCity.com travelers enjoyed Young Jeezy’s show as part of MTV’s Spring Break 07 concert series in Cancun.
