Get the Ultimate Cancun Spring Break Experience

StudentCity.com’s connections make Cancun Spring Break unforgettable, especially when you come during the first three weeks of March for the high-octane Ultimate Spring Break Experience (USBE). In 2007 the USBE was jam-packed with MTV activity and celebrities on Spring Break. In fact as MTV and MTV2’s on-site production partner in Cancun, we managed their Spring Break 07 activities. So StudentCity.com spring breakers got first class access to the MTV Village and saw the production of Wild ‘N Out and other MTV Spring Break shows while on Cancun Spring Break. What’s more, they also got tons of tickets to the unreal MTV Spring Break concert lineup and got up front during performances.

Let me start off by saying that if I were writing a review for Cancun I would give it a 4.0 out of 5.0. The nightlife there is great; non-stop partying, good clubs and lots of people. The downside is the money hungry people that parade the streets and that every single person only knew the phrase "Weed, Yayo, Ecstasy" when talking to me. I guess I must have had the look of a drug addict or maybe I just had "I need Blow" stamped on my forehead I'm not really sure.

Now let's talk about Studentcity.com. I have never in my life dealt with shadier people than Studentcity. Throughout the process of booking our trip I got the run around worse than I have in my life. Starting with all the false guarantees.

Some of the guarantees:
---Official Travel Partner of MTV: FALSE - Studentcity informed us MTV would be in Cancun and performances galore, unfortunately I saw no such thing, not even a Girls Gone Wild camera let alone MTV.
---Superior Entertainment: FALSE - The nights we went out with Studentcity were fun, but going to The City and other clubs on nights Studentcity was not there were at least twice as fun and were more crowded.
---Party Package Saves Money : FALSE - Studentcity claimed the clubs would have $40-$100 cover charges everynight and free drinks would be included in their deal. Well the covers where we went were never that expensive (I personally asked the bouncers at the door everynight without letting them see my wristband) and the drinks were very watered down and you had to tip the bartender at least $5 everytime so they were not free.
---Claims you will fly out on whatever day you want and whatever time you want: FALSE- We wanted to Leave on Tuesday and come back to the U.S. on Saturday. They agreed and the next thing I knew we were leaving on Monday and coming back Friday. This change was made without informing myself, the Campus Manager, or any other Reps. To add insult to injury, all 96 people in out group were split up onto 6 different flights. Leaving the U.S. anywhere from 1 oclock in the morning to 7 30 in the morning. Then leaving Cancun at 3 oclock in the morning on Friday (Thursday Night)... So much for the 5th day of the trip...

And by far the worst of them all...
Best On-Site Staff: FALSE- This was a joke. They guarantee the guests 24/7 on site staff. Our Staffer (Sergio who only spoke broken english and in my opinion was the definition of a Shithead "A narrowminded or ignorant waste of food, water, and air who usually is inpolite to those with seniority and/or is soveriegn" (urbandictionary.com)) was at our hotel only from 11 AM to 6 PM... He was never there when we needed him and didn't inform us when the buses were coming to get us to take us to the airport the day we left.

A huge problem for us on our trip as well were robberies. Studentcity books you into unsafe hotels, the cheapest ones for the to make reservations is so they can make money. Our hotels did not have dead bolts, nor any kind of locking devices. They had door handle locks that when you were locked out of your room they sent a hotel staff member to credit card your door....

We came to Cancun with a group of 96 people who were all for Studentcity.com, we left Cancun as 96 people who will recommend anyone and everyone we know to never go anywhere with Studentcity ever again.

I wish I could list off the other 50 things wrong with Studentcity but I will save that for my letter to the Better Business Bureau.

Thank you for reading and Please NEVER GO ANYWHERE WITH STUDENTCITY.COM
When we arived the Student City reps were standin there waitin on us to take us to our hotel. We stayed at the Oasis and when we got there check-in took over an hour but there was a lot of ppl there. Bars down stairs and outside opened at 10AM and with a tip they will stay open as long as ya want. Tons of drunk college kids wanting to get wasted all day and all night long. I would def recommend the party passes cuz the pre game partys are good but not nearly as the main events. Had to get a cab back to the airport because of poor communication with Student City we missed our bus, other than that it was awasome!
First off, Cancun has the potential to be a very fun city. Unfortunately, StudentCity dropped the ball on numerous occasions which made it very difficult to try and have a stress free, fun time. Considering that this website is a major headache should be the first indication that this company lacks any kind of organization. I didn't even receive a confirmation email letting me know that my travel documents were ready. Had my campus rep (who also happens to be a good friend) not been staying on top of things, I would not have known the status of my trip at all.

Upon arriving in Cancun, I feel that StudentCity did a great job of gathering everyone to board the buses in an orderly fashion; no problems there. The orientation that was to follow though was nothing more than a sales pitch. Here's a tip: do NOT buy the Platinum City Party Pass! Having the pass does not make it any cheaper to get into any clubs and there is NO express entry or special treatment whatsoever. It's also much nicer being able to decide where YOU want to go on any particular night rather than being stuck with the specific venue which StudentCity has randomly decided upon. My suggestion is to play it by ear and keep your options open; the only difference is that you'll be paying cover instead of handing them a ticket at the door.

After orientation we were dropped off at the Oasis Cancun only to be corralled into a ballroom where check-in was to take place. Had my friend not been such a good BS'er, we would have had to sit around and wait for HOURS in order to check in...complete and utter chaos is an understatement. We also paid an unexpected $27 "security deposit" which ironically was never given back to us upon checkout.

After finally checking in and running back and forth between changing rooms, etc. we were finally settled into our Phase II - Oceanfront room. Needless to say, our room was awesome! The view was incredible and hearing the ocean rather than a bunch of screaming idiots while trying to go to sleep at night, made this an awesome place to stay while in Cancun. If you get stuck in either of the front two buildings facing the golf course, you have no idea how much you are missing out on...

As far as tipping goes, I cannot believe some of the people on here complaining about tipping while in Cancun. Yes, it is an all inclusive resort, but a small tip goes a long way down there. After spending that much money on a vacation to begin with, not taking ~$100 worth of one dollar bills with you is just stupid and is quite possibly the smartest thing we did before departing for our trip. If you're wondering, yes, I was that asshole who got served first, everytime, all week long because I tipped at every pool side bar, which also bumped me ahead of the other ~30 people standing there with nothing more than an empty cup in their hand. A dollar for a round of Corona's or a couple Superman's is not that expensive people...

As far as the food goes, the people who complain about the food on here are the same people who were too lazy to walk around the resort and see what else was being offered. Instead of sticking to nothing but burgers and fries in the sports bar, you should have ventured to the other side of the resort where there was a much nicer buffet, as well as quite a few sit down restaurants. Come to think of it, we ate at a different place every night, and most places had 6 course meals, etc. Just because a particular restaurant looks fancy does not automatically mean that it's restricted to black wristband only people!!!!

Other than that, the resort was clean, the beach was awesome, and going into the city at night was fairly painless, given all the buses which are available directly in front of the resort itself. My only other complaint is that I only saw StudentCity reps walking around the resort ONCE the entire time we were there, which made it impossible for us to figure out departure times, etc. on the day that we were to leave. Coincidentally, we get a "wake-up call" at 6:30 AM the day we leave letting us know that our ride to the airport is leaving at 6:45 AM. Thanks for the heads up guys! Good thing I packed the night before...

Regardless, my friends and I still had a blast and I would definitely consider going back and doing it all over again; only this time, I'd check with other travel agencies to make sure that I was getting the best deal possible and not just sub par customer service.
I give Cancun the city 5/5, amazing beaches, people, clubs, everything you could imagine. Me and my 4 friends from Utah came very close to booking through Student City but ended up going with a private travel site saving a ton of money. Best Idea ever, And the party pass? who wants to be told where to go every night? We loved the ability to party hop and go where ever we wanted. So don't buy that.
The Hotel for the most part was awesome, We did however get kicked out at about 6 one morning for smoking "cigarettes" how they found out I have no idea, i could have sworn that was legal in mexico anyway haha, but with a little persuasion and 8 hours later after sleeping on the curb we were let back in.
Everybody complained about the food, but with a little looking around you can much better restaurants than the 2 that everyone goes to.
The open bar thing was bullshit though, I would just go to the L store and buy myself a bottle of vodka walking around with that, getting much more drunk and saving lots of line waiting time.
Hotel was beautiful though, after reading bad reviews about it and the bad smell and A/C i was pleasantly surprised.
Bottom line...Cancun is Insane, crazier then I could have ever imagined and would definitely go back next year.
Just dont be a cheap ass and tip the poor people and you will get whatever you want
the only i can say is
cancun ruleees!
Stayed at the Oasis Cancun and this place was AWESOME! My group and I were expecting a great spring break but nothing like what they offered us. Student City was at the airport right when we arrived and brought us directly to our hotel. They gave us a great info session on what to expect and what to stay away from as well as giving us some sweet Rockstar hats on the way. The Pool Area was amazing packed with other spring breakers everyone having an great time. The nightlife was incredible as well each club having its own unique them and aspects. There is something down there for everyone, from bars to techno clubs no one is left out in CANCUN. My advice....Book It for Spring Break 2009!
StudentCity really knows how to create the ultimate spring break experience in Cancun. I traveled along with 23 of my friends from Massachusetts to the Oasis Cancun on March 15. The day parties in the Oasis pool area were insane and everyone was always having a great time. Lots of free stuff from StudentCity, American Eagle, and Corona all day long. The swim up bar got packed around 2pm and it was a non stop pool party untill 5pm. Aside from the hotel, the StudentCity party package was the best part of the trip. We never waited in line, the clubs were huge and always sold out, and the best part was that it was open bar all night long. I worked as a campus manager this year and sold alot of trips. StudentCity hooked me up with a Rockstar VIP pass all week long while I was in Cancun. I got to "party like a rockstar" at everyclub in our own section with drinks being served to us all night long. Also got to attend a private celeb dinner and hang out with different StudentCity celebs all week. I would suggest going on spring break in Cancun. No other place on earth can hold parties like Cancun and no other company but StudentCity can make it happen. Go to Cancun or even better get some friends to go and be a Rockstar VIP
The hotel area is a great place for spring break. I went to Acapulco last year and Cancun has a lot more room to party at the hotels. The buses are cheaper to travel into the party areas than that of Acapulco. I did have some problems though traveling with Student City. During the orientation we were guranteed Kid Millionare and Paul Oakenfold which both did not come. They did not not even mention DJ Who Kid coming and we missed him completely. After the orientation we were sent to a auditorium at Oasis where we had to pay a hidden $27 insurance charge which we were never informed of. On top of that there were no Student City reps to explain this charge. The VIP package did not grant us express entry at all for most of clubs. I got not nearly as drunk as I did in Acapulco. Student City did give us great flight times and our hotel was not overbooked which was awesome as well.
First of all, The actual destination of Cancun has the potential to be wonderful...it just isnt booking your trip through studentcity. The weather and beaches were beautiful and the nightlife is definately worth planning another trip to come back to you just learn to never again go with this company. I couldnt agree more with the last review about the lines, no special treatment, and seriously over packed clubs, and having to tip a lot for everything because of the over bearing crowds. Free drinks would be enjoyable if clubs were not so over packed..still spend 50.00 = 100.00 a night. Not to mention the Oasis hotel they sell as their main headquarters is over booked people having problems not having a room or sent to another hotel. the all inclusive A JOKE seriously disgusting food. Not that you go for the food but the reality of the matter is you cant starve all week and you end up spending money on food outside of hotel in the extremely over priced hotel zone. or you can buy a meal "premium" meal plan on top of all inclusive..$$$ Other people were even resort to bringing in their own bottles of liquor to hotel $$$. Basically the hotel treats you like crap bc with studentcity and are considered "spring breaker". This trip can be booked much cheaper and dont let them sell you on their "day parties" Buy a day pass for thier headquarters at Oasis but dont stay in it. Stay closer to hotel zone so you can walk to clubs too. Many hotels in cancun say they dont allow spring breakers but bc they dont allow these companies who try to cram so many people into one place people are huddled and hearded around like cattle. Dont travel through student city you pay way too much to get treated like crap...they mislead you. I gave it a 4 bc cancun itself is an incredible destination student city just manages to flaw your trip.
Alright, Cancun was a blast because the weather was awesome. . . and that's about it. I just got back about 3 days ago with a nice tan. We stayed in the Oasis Cancun with an all-inclusive offer. My experience, however; was horrible. You might think that studentcity is the way to go, but once you get there you forget why you even thought that? You are not treated any differently than anybody else who booked through a different travel agency. The drinks are free, but they are small and watered down. They also expect tips when you get a drink + the lines are SUPER busy because the place is way too over booked. If you purchase a party package (which is also suppose to include free drinks) you still wait in line at the club for 15 min and HAVE TO TIP them more than $5 in order to receive a drink. It was horrible. You are also suppose to get "special treatment" when going to these clubs because you have a studentcity wristband, NOT. You still wait in line for 20-30 min and get stepped on/spilled on - not fun. If you plan on getting wasted out of your mind and not knowing what's going on around you then this is way to go. If you are looking to enjoy a vacation with free drinks, partying and a fun time, I wouldn't recommend this travel agency. I guess I expected a little more out of this trip and was highly dissapointed with the service. I will not book through studentcity again.
ok guys heres the deal on cancun i just got back yesterday from having the time of my life but that all-inclusive shit it bull i stayed at the oais cancun the drinks are watered down so i had to buy from the liquor store witch is cheap and the food if u like nasty hamburgers fries all day and hotdogs u will love but i cant complain i didnt go for the food i went to party and i did the night life is fucking crazy form wat i can remember the day life not to much the water was great but i had more fun on the beach at panama city but deff. studentcity is the way to go they take care of u down there when ppl see ur studentctiy rist band they know how to treat u i will be back next year with studentcity for sure.............................
Cancun is the absolute place to get BUCK wild and forget about reality. Unlimited drinking, meet celebs, cheap activities, and be around beautiful women from all around the world. According to others exepriences, just make sure you don't get too drunk and pass out in public! The folks down there are friendly as well and willing to rip you off if your not careful. Make sure not to book hotels that are downtown either. I stayed at the Laguna Cancun, its not a all inclusive but you can bring guest in which others won't let you ;)

Other than that its an awesome fuckin' place to party!
Cancun is the only place where i´ve been on spring break and is terrofic. The clubs close til 6 am and party continue @ the hotel. I´m planning go back next year and by first time I´ll stay at the Oasis wich i hear is crazy in there. Actually who could tell me wich city is better to go on spring break between PCB, FL, Daytona , Fl and Cancun?

Coco Bongo, Señor Frogs, Bull Dog and The City are the best night clubs in Cancun.
Incredible Destination. Beaches are amazing and so are the clubs. Stay in Oasis palm or Oasis Cancun. These are the hot spots for sure. Stayed at the Oasis Cancun and it's just non-stop there. All Day and night it is crazy and the all-inclusive there is incredible. Sushi all day by the ball is where it is at and it's awesome. Plus the Chicken nugget bar all day and late night is so key. Be prepared to take buses everywhere, don't use taxi's they will charge you too much. The only negative about Cancun is it is to Americanized. I feel like I am in Orlando FL when I am there. But you will get over that real quick. You do not get to experience the culture like you would in Acapulco or Mazatlan. It is a very vacationy destination which is what you probably want on your vacation, duh.

There are plenty of excursions to do while you are there. I suggest doing the Jungle Tour, where you take mini speed boats through the Lagoon and then snorkle off the cancun coral reef, second largest in the world. It's only around $35-$40 a person and definitely worth it. Also, venture to the Isla de Mujeres aka the island of women and swim with the dolphins or do the zip lines they have over the ocean.

Go to Cancun, you will love every minute oif it. It is not dirty, it is not full of dudes, and the locals are super friendly. If you don't enjoy Cancun, it's not Cancun, it's you!!!! HAVE FUN!!!!!
Cancun = "THE BOMB"... What's not to like about it!! I'm not going to lie; I always had a bad feeling about Cancun prior to being "dragged" there by one of my buddies... Turns out that I had it all wrong... It is the sickest place for spring break, great beaches, awesome weather, great girls, great locals, and sweet tacos at 5am when the sun is rising! Needless to say I will go back!!! By the way The City is nasty...
I went to Cancun for SB 2007 with 20 of my sorority sisters. We all had an AMAZING time and it couldn't have been any better. We stayed at Oasis Cancun--huge hotel with about a million spring breakers who are all there to have the time of their lives. The pool parties and swim up bars were awesome, and the beach set up with MTV was even better. As far as the night life--there's everything from chill bars to unbelieveable clubs. My girls and I partied our asses off in Cancun and would give anything to do it all over again.
Been to Cancun about 8 times. I would probably move there if I could. StudentCity's Spring Break '07 was the best EVER! It all started in High School when I went to Cancun with StudentCity on Spring Break. This was right after the filming of "The Real Cancun" by the way (and you can catch guest appearances by TJ if you look closely). Anyway, I immediately loved it and couldn't wait to go back there. I went every single year after junior year in high school and I have to go at least two times a year now. The point of the story is that you have to go at least once during college!!
I've been to every spring break destination-----Acapulco 3 times!!!!!!

Here's the truth....... Sping Break 2007, Studentcity.com, Peak Week, Oasis Cancun All Inclusive, MTV, American Eagle Concert Series, Corona, etc, etc, etc......

WAS THE SICKEST WEEK IN SPRING BREAK HISTORY.........I'M GOING BACK.......PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I RATE CANCUN 12 STARS, BUT THEY WILL ONLY ALLOW ME 5
if you haven't been on spring break before, Cancun is a great place to start. It's got a little bit of everything - big clubs, chill bars, and amazing day parties. You won't find a better pool party than at Oasis Cancun either, just make sure you take a shower after you get out.
I went to Cancun with my family 4 years in high school and it was amazing!! The water is beautiful and the beaches are even better. The nightlife is amazing as well, and there is always something going on...I highly recommend Cancun!
Cancun is spring break. Good place for first timers, definitely goin back soon
Cancun was absolutely the best spring break I have ever been on! It was a non-stop party and was never bored. The Oasis hotel is definitely the hotel to stay at and all of the clubs are INSANE!
The party passes are great, no ONLY do you save lots of money, but you also have your own vip express entry and get right in the club!!! It just doesn't get any better. Not to mention studentcity hosts the biggest and best parties with the craziest celebs!!
